Red Bull-Bora-Hansgrohe deliver Tour Down Under podium for Finn Fisher-Black
Briefly

Finn Fisher-Black of Red Bull-Bora-Hansgrohe aimed for a podium spot at the Tour Down Under, finishing third on Willunga Hill. After standing fourth prior to the climb, he capitalized on the struggling competition, particularly Patrick Konrad of Lidl-Trek. Fisher-Black trailed the leaders successfully until the last moments, where he kicked for an impressive finish but couldn’t catch last year’s winner, Oscar Onley. The team's director, Bernhard Eisel, expressed satisfaction with the outcome despite challenges earlier in the race, indicating a determined effort from Fisher-Black throughout his climb.
Romo attacked pretty early on the climb, and I asked Ben [Zwiehoff] to set a good pace for me. It was ideal because then I could sit right in front and not miss the moves.
I always know I have a pretty good kick at the end. I was just thinking if I could just hold them 20-30 metres in front of me, I could follow them in the last 500 metres.
I was feeling pretty good and put in a couple of moves, but when the trio of those guys went up the road I couldn't follow their pace.
