Atherton Bikes released their exciting new S170 Enduro bike that was lugged rather than welded. The timing of the release of a lugged bike could not have been worse, as it coincided with Bernard Kerr's televised, highly catastrophic lugged frame failure.
In his caption, Alf threw a little shade on Kerr's prototype with a declaration that the S170's front end would not break. Even Gee Atherton himself joined in the action and posted an instagram clip of his Rampage Crash not damaging the bike.
