Briefly

Merton Council issued a traffic order to remove or reduce parking spaces to make way for bike hangers across south west London, complying with the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
The changes outlined include removing or reducing parking spaces on various roads like Acre Road, Boundary Road, Devonshire Road, Kipling Drive, North Road, Palmerston Grove, Robinson Road, Stroud Road, and Vectis Road to accommodate bike hangers.
Additionally, new orders for controlled parking zones in Streatham Road and The Driftway will be effective from July 3, 2024, with parking operational on weekdays from 8.30am to 6.30pm.
Temporary restrictions due to rail bridge maintenance will be implemented on Lower Downs Road, Raynes Park, with complete suspension of parking during the works; however, this will not apply to vehicles or individuals involved in the maintenance.
