Drastic squeeze on Dolomites climbs and 'Strade Bianche' stage rumoured for 2025 Giro d'Italia
Briefly

The 2025 Giro d'Italia is set to take place from May 9 to June 1, avoiding most of the Dolomites while incorporating a Strade Bianche-type stage in Tuscany.
The race will start in Albania, and after crossing the Adriatic Sea, will resume in Puglia, with major mountain stages commencing as early as Stage 7.
Stage 9 is speculated to feature a Strade Bianche-style sterrato finish in Siena, a nod to both traditional Italian racing and the region's gravel roads.
The route will include a significant time trial between Pisa and Lucca, followed by challenging climbs in the Apennines and an ascent to Monte Grappa.
