Stefan Küng dominated the Chrono des Nations time trial in Les Herbiers, winning by just four seconds over Jay Vine with a remarkable average speed of 52.5kph.
Küng's performance was exceptional; after starting behind both Vine and Mikkel Bjerg, he surged ahead, gaining a substantial lead between the two intermediate checkpoints.
The competition was fierce as Jay Vine, the under-23 ITT world champion, challenged out of the gates, briefly leading before Küng's decisive round of the final corner sealed his victory.
With this win, Küng not only secured his third medal of the season but also reinforced his position as one of the top time trialists in cycling.
