"Reserve wheels are renowned for durability, a no-BS warranty, reliability, and have been rolled across the finish line to victory plenty of times in 2025 by Santa Cruz Syndicate rider Jackson Goldstone. At the core of those wheels were Chris King hubs, also highly regarded for their robust, rebuildable internals, distinctive buzz, and legacy in mountain biking, so what happens when you take one of the most well-regarded wheels on the market and lace them up to some of the best hubs in the world?"
"So expanding that, and bringing these world-class wheels to the everyday rider just made a lot of sense. As Jackson was racking up wins this year, we got a lot more hands on with his week-to-week wheel set up, and that process was exciting and rewarding for us as hub makers but also brought us closer with our friends at Reserve."
Chris King and Reserve Wheels launched a collaborative collection of three carbon fiber wheelsets tailored to road, gravel, and mountain disciplines. The collection pairs Chris King R45D and Mountain hubs with Reserve’s 42|49TA road rims, 40|44GR gravel rims, and 30HD mountain rims. All units will be hand-assembled at Chris King’s Portland factory and sold through Chris King’s retail network and website. The Reserve HD 30 MTB wheel offers eight build options covering common wheel diameters, brake types, and spacing standards. The products emphasize durability, rebuildable internals, and race-proven reliability demonstrated in multiple 2025 victories.
