The new Timp Peak showcases innovations like geo-adjusting flip-chips and multiple suspension options. While the author had previously been skeptical of e-mountain bikes, the Timp Peak generated enthusiasm due to its longer travel and the powerful Bosch Gen 5 motor. Despite its improvements, the bike still requires assistance from the motor, acknowledging that e-bikes have a different feel compared to traditional bikes.
The new Timp Peak is equipped with the Bosch Performance Line CX Gen 5 drive unit that cranks out 85 Nm of torque and a peak output of 600 W.
Despite the advantages of its upgraded specifications, the Timp Peak retains the need for motor assistance, showcasing a balanced design that prioritizes both power and riding experience.
