Kontakthof, created by Pina Bausch in 1978, focuses on human interactions and the search for connection. Meryl Tankard reimagined this landmark work in 2024, featuring nine original cast members now in their 70s and 80s. The new version, titled Kontakthof - Echoes of '78, is half the length of the original and combines live performances with film footage of the original cast. The piece poignantly reflects on the passage of time and the absence of those who have passed away, starting with a dancer in a satin gown and projected imagery of herself.
