Some aid reaches Gaza as Israel lets some trucks through DW 05/22/2025

The Palestinian Red Crescent expressed concern that the humanitarian aid trucks permitted into Gaza have not effectively reached civilians, with many remaining at the border awaiting clearance. Following a lengthy blockade, Israel began allowing aid deliveries; however, the UN is frustrated by the slow pace and numerous logistical challenges, including complex Israeli military procedures. As desperation grows, some aid trucks have reportedly been intercepted by residents, raising fears of unrest, while only a limited number of locations received any assistance, posing risks of violence in an already tense situation.
No civilian has received anything yet... most of these trucks are still in Karem Shalom at the border, inspected, but not into Gaza.
The modest aid shipments are an 'invitation for killing,' citing fears of mobbing, looting, and unrest.
