Being only one hour outside of London, Cambridge is a brilliant spot to get away from the city without wasting a day travelling. The Varsity Hotel offers both luxury and privacy, making it the perfect retreat.
The room was spacious and airy with a floor to ceiling window overlooking Cambridge. My favourite feature was the huge balcony, giving me the chance to soak up the fresh air.
The hotel spa consisted of a sauna, steam room, and jacuzzi. My personal favourite was the jacuzzi, where we could unwind and look out onto the river.
The modern four-poster bed in my room was very tempting to curl up on, making it hard to resist a nap after a long day exploring.
