As a football fan finding a decent pre and post match pint when traveling to away games can be difficult. What a complete delight to find the River Ale House. It has a great selection of cask ale and ciders all in tip-top condition and a CAMRA discount.
I'm glad we found a reason to visit having lived close by for two years. There is a lot of choice here, even the cider options surpassed my expectations. The service was great, we were offered to try multiple beers to find the right fit for our tastes.
The Cockpit was named the best pub in Bromley, the Dog & Bell won in Lewisham and the Robin Hood and Little John was crowned as the best in Bexley.
