Ed Sheeran Created a Pub in Massachusetts for His Latest Music Video-Go Inside With the Singer
Briefly

Ed Sheeran surprised the residents of Ipswich, Massachusetts, by hosting a pop-up pub, The Old Phone, for one day to promote his new single 'Old Phone.' Located in the town's historic district, the pub was designed to resemble traditional UK and Irish establishments, offering fans a unique experience complete with food and live music. The pop-up also served as the setting for the song’s music video, which features local community members. Sheeran's idea for the song was inspired by memories from his old phone, further emphasizing the theme of nostalgia.
The space, built by Pink Sparrow, was done up like an authentic pub like the ones found throughout the UK and Ireland.
Sheeran confirmed his plans during an interview with Jimmy Fallon on March 26, stating, "It's a full working pub."
The music video is basically the build of the pub with everyone locally, creating a community-centric experience.
We wanted The Old Phone to feel like it had always been there, albeit suspended between worlds-part Ipswich, UK, part small-town New England.
