Boxcar Brew Works is Closing Their Doolittle Station Taproom - The Beer Thrillers

"I would like to thank you for your continued support and loyalty to Boxcar Brew Works over the years! It has been a joy to serve you all over the last 8+ years. This is a message I have been regretting writing. It saddens me to inform you that the taproom for Boxcar Brew Works located on the Doolittle Station complex (1290Rich Hwy) will be closing permanently on Sunday 09/28/2025."

"It's not the end of the story for us though. Boxcar Beer will be available at a few different places until we can no longer distribute at the end of the year. Until then you can pick us up at some of our regular stops; (Du Bois, PA), , (Du Bois, PA), (Du Bois, PA) and a few others out in the wild ((Pgh), (State College). Please stop into any of them and enjoy a cold Boxcar beer."

Boxcar Brew Works will permanently close its Doolittle Station taproom on Sunday, 09/28/2025, after failing to reach a short- or long-term lease agreement with the property’s new owners. The taproom served patrons for more than eight years and fostered many customer relationships at the Doolittle Station complex. Boxcar beer will remain available at several retail and taproom locations while distribution continues through the end of the year. A new brewery location is planned at 285 Hahne Court in downtown Du Bois, with pop-up events planned through the remainder of the year and updates on social media.
