Pat Dooling, owner of Dray Drinks, noted, "We're pretty sure it's the first in the country. Events like the non-alcoholic beer garden are part of our mission to show adult social outings don’t always need alcohol."
Dooling said, "Literally nothing is different except that we've removed the alcohol from the products." This sentiment underscores the idea that socializing can continue without alcoholic beverages.
The non-alcoholic beer garden, Notoberfest, is funded by the city's Wake Up the Night grant program aimed at revitalizing Boston's nightlife and supporting safe, inclusive spaces.
Attendees can expect a variety of non-alcoholic beverages including a 'Haus beer' on tap, non-alcoholic wine, cocktails, and the usual beer garden attractions such as food vendors and live music.
