Report: Bayern Munich will ask Joshua Kimmich to take a 20% pay cut
Briefly

There's still a small chance Joshua Kimmich would extend his contract at Bayern – but with conditions. The supervisory board's goal is to reduce the wage bill by 20%, which is one of the reasons players who earn big salaries are candidates for sale – including Kimmich.
At the moment, it seems unlikely that both parties will be able to reach an agreement – unless Kimmich accepts a major cut to his current salary of around €20m/year. Kimmich would have to accept at least a quarter less than he currently earns in order to sign a new contract. It remains to be seen whether he would agree to that.
