"Congatulations to Dayot Upamecano and Michael Olise! FC Bayern's two French internationals booked their ticket for the World Cup finals on Thursday night thanks to France's 4-0 win over Ukraine. The draw for the tournament in the USA, Canada and Mexico will take place on 5 December. England and Harry Kane, who ended Serbia's hopes with a 2-0 win at Wembley on Thursday, will also be in the draw. Here's our round-up of the international action."
"Following an uneventful first half, Les Bleus upped the tempo in the second period and took the lead through a Kylian Mbappé penalty in the 55th minute. Olise had won the penalty when he was fouled by Taras Mykhavko. Bayern's wing wizard then made it 2-0 after 76 minutes, with Real Madrid star Mbappé and Liverpool's Hugo Ekitiké completing the scoring in the closing stages."
Dayot Upamecano played the full match and Michael Olise scored as France beat Ukraine 4-0 to secure World Cup qualification at the Parc des Princes. Olise won the penalty converted by Kylian Mbappé and later made it 2-0; Mbappé and Hugo Ekitiké added goals in the closing stages. The match came nine days after Bayern’s win at Paris Saint-Germain. Didier Deschamps said the team achieved their target and he was proud after loosening the reins in attack. England remained perfect with seven wins and a 2-0 victory over Serbia, with Harry Kane captaining the side.
