Manuel Neuer started in goal for Bayern, with Konrad Laimer, Jonathan Tah, Kim and Hiroki Ito in defence and Leon Goretzka and Aleksandar Pavlović anchoring midfield alongside Michael Olise, Gnabry and Luis Díaz, with Harry Kane up front. Dayot Upamecano, Karl, Tom Bischof and Raphaël Guerreiro replaced Tah, Gnabry, Olise and Ito in the second half. The win took Bayern to 47 points from 17 matches and a +53 goal difference, eleven clear of Dortmund at the halfway mark.
