Bayern Munich is undergoing significant executive restructuring as former president Uli HoeneÃ, though no longer in an official role, remains on the supervisory board and retains considerable control. The recent appointment of Jan-Christian Dreesen as CEO comes after a failed attempt to replace Hoeneà with Oliver Kahn, who was dismissed. Former captain Thomas Helmer emphasizes that HoeneÃ's presence continues to dominate decision-making, implying that a complete transition might only occur if Hoeneà steps back entirely, which appears distant given his age and influence.
"As long as Uli is there, it's clear who makes the decisions," he said, as captured by @iMiaSanMia. "I think things would only work out with a new 'strong man' if Uli were to step back completely."
There are certainly reasons to believe he is correct. But when will the day be that the 73-year-old Hoeneà will decide to step back completely?
