Neuer still must finish Bayern’s DFB-Pokal final and may be affected by a recent calf problem before joining the national team for friendlies against Finland and the United States. Germany fans are skeptical, with a Bild poll showing 59% of participants preferring Baumann to start over Neuer. Nagelsmann insists the plan is for Neuer to be his number one, leaving the final decision to Neuer’s agreement.
