FC Bayern's medical department has confirmed that João Palhinha suffered a torn muscle fibre in his right adductor while training with the Portugal national team. The midfielder will therefore be sidelined for the coming weeks.
João Palhinha's injury is worse than first thought. 2024 is over for him. A comeback in January is currently expected.
João Palhinha is now set to be sidelined for around 6 weeks. He's expected to be back after the winter break.
If Palhinha is out, Leon Goretzka and Konrad Laimer are expected to take over next Joshua Kimmich, while the Portuguese international and Aleksandar Pavlović are sidelined.
