Harry Kane, now playing for Bayern Munich, shares insights on the tactical differences between the Bundesliga and the Premier League. In an interview, he notes that Bundesliga teams tend to utilize aggressive tactics, such as pressing and man-to-man marking, leading to more open spaces that can be exploited with pace. In contrast, he describes the Premier League as more structured, with teams often employing defensive blocks. Kane’s comments provoke questions about whether Bundesliga teams are inadvertently playing into Bayern's counter-pressing style or focusing on developing their strategies against each other.
In the Bundesliga more teams try to play out from the back, more teams press and sometimes even play man-v-man. Therefore, the spaces are a bit bigger, which we can take advantage of by bringing pace into our game.
In the Premier League there's probably a bit more structure - a few more teams defend in the block.
