Bayern Munich's CFO Michael Diederich: "People like to construct conflicts with Uli Hoene that don't actually exist at FC Bayern."
Briefly

The reporting on him [Hoeneß] or his statements has been presented incorrectly or taken out of context. People like to construct conflicts with him that don't actually exist at FC Bayern. The fact is: I appreciate the intensive discussion with Uli. Everything he does, he always does for FC Bayern and he often speaks out about what concerns many of us, whether it's about sporting or economic topics.
It is not only vital that Hoeneß speaks out about his concerns but it is also just who he is to make these comments. But Diederich does not explain why it is important for the former Bayern president to make these concerns public. As long as the public struggles to find a reason behind Hoeneß's comments and no explanation is given, his comments will always be under the greatest of scrutiny.
