Bayern Munich faced Holstein Kiel in an unexpected thriller, narrowly winning 4-3. The match featured moments of missed chances for both sides, with Holstein Kiel initially hesitant to attack. As the game progressed, Holstein attempted to push forward but struggled against Bayern's counterattacks. Despite Bayern establishing an early lead thanks to Jamal Musiala's goal, defensive weaknesses were evident in their line, highlighted by a near equalizer from Kiel's Holtby. Coach Vincent Kompany's unchanging strategy raises questions about his tactical adaptability as the season progresses.
The beginning of the match saw Holstein Kiel do exactly what many thought they would do - sit back and absorb.
However, Holstein Kiel did eventually show some aggression in at least trying to push forward.
Kompany is not adjusting, nor adapting. He seems to be caught in a routine of relying on some players too much.
That seemed to ease some of the tension and was a terrific finish for Musiala.
