Last Sunday, a German soccer match was unexpectedly canceled when a referee was bitten in the testicle by a young child. This bizarre incident occurred before kickoff during a routine ID check for FC Taxi Duisburg II and SV Rot-Weiss Mülheim's game in the Kreisliga C division. The referee, Stefan Kahler, reported that the child's unexpected approach and bite were painful enough to prevent him from officiating. Kahler described the event as both surreal and painful, emphasizing the child's connection to a player from the opposing team.
According to the National World, a young child unexpectedly approached referee Stefan Kahler while he was conducting ID checks and bit him in the testicle.
Kahler noted, 'While I was checking the FC Taxi players' ID, a small child was doing warm-up exercises... then suddenly - to my complete surprise - gave me a sharp bite in my left testicle.'
The referee confirmed the severity of the injury in his official report, stating that the bizarre incident left him unable to officiate due to the pain.
'I did not start the game, because of the pain I was in and the situation. It was the child of one of the FC Taxi players who was to blame,' Kahler said.
