As of July 2025, the central tower of the Sagrada Família in Barcelona has achieved a height of 172.5 metres, establishing itself as the tallest structure in the city. This landmark represents the closest the basilica has come to completion after 140 years of continuous work. Antoni Gaudí designed the church in the 1800s, imagining a unique vertical structure symbolizing Christian theology. Although the main tower is now complete, a 17-metre glass cross is still under construction and will finalize the structure's design by the end of the year, enhancing its architectural significance.
