Untitled Art will launch four new prizes at Houston fair's second edition
Untitled Art Houston will return to the George R. Brown Convention Center in downtown Houston from 2 to 4 October for its second edition. The fair will expand prize offerings for exhibitors and their artists, building on prizes from the inaugural edition. Combined prize value for this year’s edition could reach $113,200. New prizes include an acquisition prize from the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center committing at least $20,000 to support its Art Experience Program. Public Art of the University of Houston System will provide a $25,000 acquisition prize. Hotel Daphne will spend $30,000 to $50,000 to acquire up to three works for its permanent collection. Houston Grand Opera will award $7,500 to $10,000, commission a new work, and provide a residency during the upcoming rehearsal season.
