Understand Spurs have held talks with Brandon Austin over signing a contract extension. With those club-trained homegrown issues I recently spoke about, this makes sense as he's been on the bench 33 times in the past two seasons and is well regarded.
Although Austin has yet to make a first-team appearance for Tottenham, the discussions regarding a contract extension indicate that he remains a part of the club's plans moving forward. His retention would not only provide depth in the goalkeeping department but also fulfil the club's requirement for club-trained players in European competition.
