The United States will give Ukraine $6 billion for military hardware, the largest security assistance package to date, with air defense missiles and artillery ammunition included, said Defense Secretary Lloyd J. Austin III.
The assistance was announced after a virtual meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group, involving about 50 nations, including all NATO members, major non-NATO allies, and countries supporting Kyiv with military and humanitarian aid.
