A report revealed accusations that Lewis sexually harassed an unnamed woman through a dating app, allegedly sending threats of physical and sexual violence before an in-person meeting in December 2024 where he allegedly beat and raped her. The woman initially reported Lewis's conduct to his former supervisor Sherrone Moore at the University of Michigan, who was subsequently fired in December following his own involvement in harassment and an extramarital affair. Moore allegedly violated Title IX protocols by refusing to report the assault and instead sent the woman sexually graphic messages.
