During the 2025 NFL Draft, several players, including Abdul Carter and Shedeur Sanders, received prank calls that disrupted the event. Carter, thought to be a top pick, was falsely informed by someone pretending to represent the Jaguars. His agent, Drew Rosenhaus, emphasized the unfortunate accessibility of personal numbers. In another incident, Jax Ulbrich prank-called Sanders, apologizing for detracting from the player's significant moment. The NFL levied fines totaling $350,000 against the Falcons and Ulbrich. Investigations into various prank calls during the draft are ongoing.
"It's unfortunate that these private numbers are getting to the people making the prank calls," Carter's agent Drew Rosenhaus said after his client received a prank call before the NFL Draft.
"On Friday night I made a tremendous mistake," Jax Ulbrich confessed. "What I did was completely inexcusable, embarrassing, and shameful..."
"Abdul and I knew it was bs and didn't even tell his family about the call," said Drew Rosenhaus concerning Carter's prank call.
The NFL fined the Falcons $250,000 and Ulbrich $100,000 following investigations into the prank calls during the 2025 Draft.
