Whit Merrifield returned to the Atlanta Braves lineup after missing two games due to a head injury but left the game again after injuring his foot.
Merrifield's X-rays on his left foot came back negative, but he will undergo further testing to ensure there’s no significant damage.
Since joining the Braves, Merrifield has struggled a bit at the plate with a .243 batting average over 34 games since his signing.
The Braves signed Merrifield as a replacement for Ozzie Albies, who suffered a wrist injury earlier this summer.
