Ozzie Albies leaves game with wrist issue
"During his bases-loaded at-bat tonight against the Washington Nationals in the bottom of the third inning, Atlanta Braves second baseman Ozzie Albies left the game with a 2-1 count with an apparent wrist issue. After taking a swing, he had discomfort on the follow-through. After being evaluated on the field, he left the game. Nick Allen replace him and struck-out (although that went against Albies). Allen remained in the game at second base."
"He struggled until after the All-Star break, but had been productive since late July. For the season, Albies has only a .671 OPS but had slugged 16 home runs and stole 14 bases. Ten of his home runs had come since the beginning of July. The Braves hold a $7M option on Albies for the 2026 season with a $4M buyout."
