Jurickson Profar will likely open the season as the Braves' primary designated hitter but expressed hesitation about the role. Asked about familiarity with the DH spot, Profar chuckled and said, "I don't know, we'll see." When asked if DH was his favorite spot, he grimaced, laughed and replied, "Let's see. Let's see. Let's see. I'm just here to help the team." Braves manager Wait Weiss said no player typically volunteers for a non-full-time DH role and called Profar a great teammate. Weiss added that Alex Anthopoulos called Profar before signing outfielder Mike Yastrzemski to clear the move with him.
