Chavez played a big part in the Braves' bullpen early on last season before he was struck in the shin by a line drive off the bat of Miguel Cabrera in Detroit on June 14. That sent him to the injured list for three months before returning to make five more appearances at the end of the season.
The White Sox on the other hand, don't have a great bullpen situation currently and Chavez likely has a great shot of earning a spot on the Opening Day roster.
