Waldrep, one of the Braves top prospects, has struggled in two starts since joining Atlanta. He has tossed only seven innings, allowing 13 earned runs, walking eight, and striking out only three.
Atlanta had been working with a six-man starting rotation and has not yet announced a corresponding roster move after sending Waldrep back to Triple-A.
