Outfielder Forrest Wall, who spent the past two seasons with the Atlanta Braves, was claimed off waivers by the Marlins after being designated for assignment.
Wall, drafted in 2014, made his MLB debut last season with the Braves, showing perseverance in his baseball journey.
Wall had limited playing time with the Braves in 2024, appearing in just 13 games, going 7-for-29 at the plate with three runs scored and 3-for-6 in stolen base attempts.
The Marlins optioned Wall to Triple A Jacksonville, aiming for his return to the majors in the future.
