Chanticleers 1st in FBS to offer free concessions
Briefly

Coastal Carolina University is pioneering a unique initiative for the 2025 football season by offering free concessions to fans, becoming the first FBS program to implement such a promotion. This initiative aims to enhance the game day experience for their supporters, allowing each ticket holder to select up to four items per visit from a designated menu including hot dogs, nachos, and soft drinks. While alcoholic beverages and specialty items are excluded, this creative approach follows the university's tradition of innovative promotions to bolster fan engagement.
"Our fans are the heartbeat of Teal Nation, and we're always looking for ways to elevate their game day experience," athletic director Chance Miller said in a statement Monday.
CCU fans who buy a ticket to the game will be able to select up to 4 items per concession stand visit from a menu selection of hot dogs, nachos, popcorn and fountain drinks.
Alcoholic beverages, specialty items, and items from third-party vendors are not included in the promotion.
Coastal Carolina's Miller did not immediately respond to an inquiry on whether football prices would increase for the 2025 season.
