Albies, who is the longest-tenured Brave, debuted in 2017. His 2026 option was for $7M but included a $4M buyout, making the additional monetary commitment only $3M. Coming off an injury-shortened season in 2024, Albies struggled through the first-half of 2025 before surging in July."

The Atlanta Braves will exercise the 2026 club option on Ozzie Albies' contract, converting a $7 million option with a $4 million buyout into a $3 million additional commitment. Albies debuted in 2017 and is the longest-tenured Brave. He endured an injury-shortened 2024 and a slow first half of 2025 before surging in July, then suffered a hand fracture in late September after playing every game earlier in the season. The team released pitcher Nathan Wiles, who made one appearance after joining from the Tampa Bay Rays. The Braves must clear 40-man roster spots before activating players from the 60-day IL. A $7M option remains for Albies in 2027.
