Craig Kimbrel has signed a minor league deal with the Atlanta Braves, marking his return to the organization he originally started with in 2015. After a difficult stint with the Baltimore Orioles, where he posted a 5.33 ERA, Kimbrel was not retained following the season. Despite last year's struggles, he remains a notable name in MLB, having played with several teams over the years, including the Padres, Red Sox, and Cubs. He is set to begin the upcoming season with the Braves' Triple-A affiliate, the Gwinnett Stripers.
For the first time since a few days before Opening Day all the way back in 2015, Craig Kimbrel is a member of the Atlanta Braves organization.
Ever since then, Kimbrel has gone from the Padres, to the Red Sox, to the Cubs, to the White Sox, to the Dodgers, to the Phillies, to the Orioles and now back to the Braves.
Confirmed Craig Kimbrel has signed a Minor League deal with the Braves. He will make preparations over the next couple weeks and begin the season with Triple-A Gwinnett.
Kimbrel is the type of reliever that you figure that someone would take a chance on across the landscape of MLB.
