Braves send Eddy Alvarez and Chad Kuhl to minor league camp
Briefly

The Atlanta Braves continue to shape their roster as they reassign utility-man Eddy Alvarez and right-hander Chad Kuhl to minor league camp. This decision brings the major league camp roster down to 48 players. Alvarez, a former New York Mets player and a two-time Olympic silver medalist, struggled this spring with one hit in 11 at-bats. Kuhl, who has eight seasons in the majors, pitched well this spring but will now be heading to Gwinnett for additional depth as the team prepares for the season.
Another day, another announcement from the Atlanta Braves of players being reassigned to the minor league camp. Today, utility-man Eddy Alvarez and right-hander Chad Kuhl are the players sent out from the big league side of camp.
Alvarez, who was added this offseason for some organizational depth, has spent parts of four seasons in the majors, including with the New York Mets last season.
Kuhl, who has spent parts of eight seasons in the big leagues after debuting in 2016, has extensive experience as both a starter and reliever.
