Braves News: Max Fried Struggles in Return to Mound, Offense Goes Cold over the weekend, more
Briefly

The fact that Fried struggled on Sunday is not all that surprising as he was returning from injury. However, one of the main reasons that Sunday's result was frustrating is because once again the inconsistency of the Atlanta's offense showed up at an inopportune time.
Atlanta has now suffered seven shut-out losses this season, their most since 2018. While the recent power surge has been great to see, offensive consistency has to improve for this team to emerge as a true threat in the NL Playoff picture.
Mark Bowman from MLB.com highlighted Brian Snitker's suggestion that Monday's off day could be a nice change for the team to reset and move on from Sunday's performance.
Gabe Burns from the AJC points out that another positive is Fried felt good after the start in terms of health. However, better results should be expected for the team.
