Ian Anderson (Tommy John rehab) threw live batting practice on Monday. He's expected to do it again in a few days. No word on when a rehab assignment will start, but it seems Anderson is getting closer.
The surgery typically requires a recovery period of 12-18 months, so a rehab start may not be too far off.
Anderson had an unforgettable 2021 in Atlanta and came up huge when the Braves won the Fall Classic. Hopefully, Anderson will return to his pre-injury stats and work his way back into the starting rotation.
Per the transaction log, catcher Drake Baldwin has been promoted to Triple-A Gwinnett. The 23-year-old has put together 47 hits in 193 Double-A at-bats this season.
