The Braves are one of a handful of teams expected to pursue starter Zach Eflin. The 30-year-old right-hander has been a reliable mid-level starter with Tampa Bay the last couple of years.
For the season, Eflin has posted a 4.09 ERA but with much better peripherals. His 3.65 FIP, 3.76 xFIP, and 3.37 xERA paint a much clearer picture for why teams will be interested in him if Tampa decides to sell.
Tampa currently sits 4.5 games out of the third wild card spot in the American League and has an earned reputation for wheeling and dealing when they feel it's time to move someone.
The trade deadline is Tuesday, July 30th at 6 pm ET.
