Gonzalez has steadily improved since moving to relief and focusing on a 4 seam fastball with elite strikeout rates over the past two seasons.
The Braves jumped the gun a bit and made the move...adding reliever Domingo Gonzalez to the 40 man roster on November 2nd.
...striking out a system-leading 38.8% of batters across 52 2⁄ 3 innings. Gonzalez, himself a Rule 5 selection in the minor league phase of the draft back in 2022.
To avoid having a player selected in the Rule 5 draft the deadline to add the player to the 40 man roster by November 19th.
