The film 'Rust' has been released more than three years after cinematographer Halyna Hutchins was accidentally killed on set. Alec Baldwin, who produced and stars in the film, reflects on the tragedy while portraying a fugitive grandfather. Hutchins' death led to significant legal actions, including imprisonment for the film's armorer and probation for the first assistant director. Baldwin's charges were dismissed, and Hutchins' husband became an executive producer as the film resumed production, with director Joel Souza completing the film amidst the lingering emotional fallout.
"Some things in this life you can't get back, I reckon," Baldwin's character says in one scene shown in the trailer.
"It was a really tough decision, and I'll be very honest â I was a wreck through most of the second go-round," Souza told NPR last fall.
