Routes and Realms is an exhibition at the Chester Beatty in Dublin, centered on a rare thirteenth-century Arabic manuscript known as Kitāb al-Masālik wa al-Mamālik, which contains 21 illustrated world maps from the medieval Islamic period. These maps provide insight into the cultural, political, and economic landscapes of the Middle East, North Africa, and Central Asia.
