The Magic Castle, a Los Angeles landmark and exclusive hub for magicians, opened its doors to wildfire victims, offering refuge and community support amid recent disasters.
"Our clubhouse is very unique in that you have to be invited by a member to come in. It's a very difficult ticket, and we've been doing it for 62 years," said Paul Green.
General Manager Herve Levy emphasized the castle's precarious situation during the fires, stating, "If the wind was blowing in the wrong direction...the Magic Castle would be gone."
The Bilyk family, affected by the fires, expressed concern about their home, but found comfort in the supportive environment at the Magic Castle's donation center.
