MECA&D's Master of Fine Arts in Studio Art offers an interdisciplinary curriculum that encourages thinking across academic boundaries while expanding studio practice and intellectual curiosity. The six-term curriculum emphasizes the intersection of studio practice, individual research, and critical analysis with one-on-one mentoring from faculty, visiting artists, critics, and curators. Students choose Full Residency with 24/7 studio and fabrication access or Low Residency that combines intense on-campus sessions with remote work. Intensive group sessions across two years support research, travel, and dialogue. All students attend eight-week Summer Intensives in Portland, Maine.
