The 2026 Venice Art Biennale, titled In Minor Keys, is set to honor the vision of curator Koyo Kouoh, who passed away recently. Under the leadership of Maria Cristiana Costanzo, the Biennale will proceed in strict adherence to Kouoh's curatorial plan, which she had diligently worked on before her death. The event will invite viewers into an immersive experience of art that transcends contemporary crises. Kouoh's family supports the ongoing execution of her ideas as her collaborators present her prepared texts and selected works to the public on 9 May.
The exhibition titled In Minor Keys will be realized according to the vision of deceased curator Koyo Kouoh, preserving her ideas and intentions.
Maria Cristiana Costanzo emphasized that the show will be completed by Kouoh's core team to enhance and share her dedicated work and vision.
Gabe Beckhurst Feijoo described the exhibition as a radical connection with art's role in society, inviting visitors to reflect and engage meaningfully.
Remarkably, the exhibition will not merely comment on global crises; instead, it aims to offer an immersive experience that transcends time.
