The work uses perspectival illusion and foreshortening to emphasise viewer position and to compress physical and perceived distance. Material focus on lace highlights precision, labour, and traditional craftsmanship; its interlinked threads become a metaphor for social connection. Crocheting was shared among participants, redistributing authorship and embedding community labour in the work. The crocheted zodiac forms are suspended above a dark pool and use parallax to shift relative to the viewer along a central axis.
